Between 2021 and 2022, Volta Charging underwent a full brand overhaul. Discovering a missing piece in the area of data visualization, they asked Datalands to establish a system to define what data visualization looks like for this new era of Volta.
With a firm deliverable of Volta's annual PDF report, "The Brave New World of Climate Consciousness", we began a 2 month design systems exercise in establishing ownable visualization styles, including motion design, for all data viz across the Volta brand.

In addition to the 40+ page report with over 25 unique data visualization styles, we created a microsite with their internal engineering team to develop an implementable data viz style using motion and interactive elements.
Because the project was highly structured to have a firm, consumer facing deliverable, the Volta internal team was excited to have marketing content to promote, and a newly developed data visualization structure to create future, forward facing charts and graphs.
